Throughout the organization’s history, KASC has maintained a team dedicated to top-notch member service. We try to find answers promptly, create ready-to-use training and materials, and connect members with needed resources. We’re parents and educators, too.


CINDY BLEVINS, Education Leader

Before coming to KASC, Cindy spent 26 years at Woodlawn Elementary School in Boyle County as a classroom teacher, interventionist, and literacy coach. She has served multiple times as a teacher member of the school council and chaired various committees. Email Cindy

Pam oversees the website and database at KASC. She and her husband live in Danville and have two children. Pam holds a degree in biology, is a former PTO president, and currently serves on the SBDM council at her children’s school. E-mail Pam

RONDA HARMON, Executive Director

Ronda served as associate executive director for 12 years before becoming KASC’s director in 2006. She has served on an elementary school council as a teacher member, and on middle school and high school councils as a parent representative. E-mail Ronda

LYNNE KEENEducation Leader

Originally from London, Ky., Lynne taught biology and chemistry. She served as instructional supervisor in Marion County and worked as field-experience coordinator and instructor at St. Catharine College in Springfield.  E-mail Lynne

Hannah is originally from Danville, and holds a B.S. in Business from Georgetown College, and a M.S. in Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.  She enjoys baking doughnuts and outdoor activities.

Ruth answers members questions and is the staff liason to the KASC board. She also coordinates exhibits at the annual conference. A University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, Ruth has served on school councils in Danville. E-mail Ruth

Marvetta prepares (and proofreads) many of the documents and materials used in KASC training. She spent 29 years as high school English teacher. She and her husband live in Casey County, where she also coaches high school girls’ tennis. E-mail Marvetta

LYNNE SLONE, Legal Counsel

Lynne is an attorney in Lexington and has been a school council member. Prior to returning to private practice, she worked in the state Attorney General’s office, where she authored several opinions on issues involving school councils.

CYNDI WRENN, Products and Data

A native of Danville, Cyndi attended Eastern Kentucky University and has held computer-related positions. She and her husband have two children. She enjoys photography and decorating homemade chocolates and cakes. E-mail Cyndi
