Law on Council Accountability - KRS 160.346In 2004, the General Assembly passed a new piece of legislation on council accountability. Under this law, schools that are subject to scholastic audit (based on weak CATS scores) will also receive a review of their council's effectiveness. After the first audit, plans will be made to strengthen the council. Two years later, if the school is still in audit and the council is again found to be ineffective, either the superintendent or a highly skilled educator may be recommended to take over the council's work.
