KDE seeking feedback on library media standards

(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is seeking feedback on the new Kentucky Academic Standards for Library Media Elective (K-12).

Senate Bill 1 (2017) calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments with one or two content areas to be reviewed each year and every six years after that on a rotating basis.

The public is invited to review the draft library media standards to share feedback and suggestions through June 26. Feedback and comments will be thoughtfully considered and any needed revisions made before submitting a draft of proposed standards to the Kentucky Board of Education.

Comments on the Kentucky Academic Standards for Library Media Elective may be submitted using this Google document. Due to the amount of text within the survey, it is recommended that the survey be completed on a full-size computer or laptop.
