Capitalize on Student Strengths in K-5 Mathematics

How can you develop learning experiences that build mathematical confidence in ALL learners during and after the pandemic?

Join PIMSER Regional Teacher Partner Renee' Yates during this hybrid in-person and virtual learning series. Leave this series with:
  • strategies focused on building mathematical confidence with ALL learners
  • class routines that provide space for mathematical thinking and problem solving
  • strategies for implementing Social, Emotional and Academic Development (SEAD) within the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics
This series will include full-day in-person trainings and virtual support sessions for a total of 15 hours of PD credit.
July 13: In-person on EKU Campus 9:00am-4:00pm EST
July 20: Whole-group virtual follow-up 9:00-11:00am EST via Zoom
July 29: Small-group virtual 1-hour breakout session by grade level or interest (K-2 and 3-5) 9:00-10:00am and 11:00am-12:00pm EST*
August 3: In-person on EKU Campus 9:00am-4:00pm EST
*You will choose your session during the July 13 meeting. These sessions will be focused on some content and coaching conversations where you can share ideas with others


Registration is limited to 16 people. You will receive a separate reminder by email with the link to the Zoom sessions the day before each session.

Cost: $300 for in-service educators
Check with your finance office about utilizing ESSA, rural low-income, Gear UP, Title I or II, or CARES Act funding to support your attendance
$150 for EKU students
