July 16: VIRTUAL Kentucky History Education Conference, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join K-12 educators from around the state as they converge in Frankfort to share, learn about, and celebrate social studies! At KHEC, participants will enjoy sessions related to each of the 4 social studies themes – civics, economics, geography, and history – as well as practical classroom teaching strategies. Learn historical content from scholars, get updates on the latest tech tools, and try out hands-on activities. Best of all, network with your fellow educators and share the tips and tricks you’ve learned (or need to “borrow” from others!) about integrating the new KAS for Social Studies in your classroom! Plus, vendors will be on hand to share resources and opportunities available to Kentucky’s teachers and students. Grades K-12. Seven hours of PD credit.

Submit a KHEC proposal and attend for free! Proposals are due April 15. Check back in May to get a glimpse of the program!

Rates (include breakfast, lunch and handouts):
$45: Pre-service teachers and KHS, KATH, KASA, and KCSS members
$50: All other registrants
