By: Kentucky Historical Society

The Arab-Israeli conflict is in the news every day and understanding it is critical to being a global citizen. Using an historical approach with an emphasis on primary sources, this session connects the history of the conflict to the current situation. Through presentation, the use of accessible classroom technologies, discussion and work in small groups, participants will develop content knowledge, experience student activities, and receive lesson plans and corresponding primary source materials and maps. Led by Andrew Askuvich, ICS regional trainer and a former high school social studies teacher. Grades 6-12. Three hours PD credit and $100 stipend from ICS for attendees.

Held at: 100 West Broadway Street, Frankfort, KY
